    Sad day in WWE

So just a few minutes ago the Big Show got fired by the G.M. George Laurinaitis after he interrupted his fight with Kane, and made him apologize for making fun of his voice last week, and made Big Show get on his knees and beg to keep his job. A job he has had for 18 years. Does this p*ss anyone else off?

I think this would be regarded as a sports thread, so I've moved it to the relevant forum, although I can't say I've watched wrestling much at all. I have heard of the Big Show. Pardon the pun, but I usually end up thinking these things are just for show. But as I said, I haven't watched it enough for an opinion.

    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

I am not a wrestling fan, but what upsets me is the absolute way he was degraded by this man in front of a packed stadium. Thats why I made this

    RE: Sad day in WWE

It's all scripted/kayfabe. Laryngitis (HUR HUR I AM SO ORIGINAL) is a 'heel', and this sort of stuff is set up to make him as unpopular as possible so that he deservedly gets the shit slapped out of him (kayfabe!) at the end of a long feud. The writers have been doing it for years.

If they were really going to fire Big Show, they wouldn't do it in the middle of a stadium in front of ten of thousands of fans.
"It turned out that the ghost was just Mr. Finley, who ran the amusement park. The spooky part is that, as soon as the ghost appeared, the teenagers' dog began to speak! And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"

At this point everybody should have known that all this is scripted. Read some of Mick Foley's books about the biz. Hell, Patrice O'Neil (god rest his soul)was a writer for WWE for about year. Sorry Rilan to a downer about wrestling, but I have friends who are way into WWE. And they are douche bags about it too.

    RE: Sad day in WWE

I do watch WWE but I do know that it's just pertaining to the story. Trust me, I like the Big Show as well but he's not really going anywhere anytime soon.

Just part of the plot at the moment.

But Brock Lesnar making John Cena bleed like a pig at Extreme Rules and breaking Triple H's arm was definitely not scripted! So if anything, that would be more of a story to talk about.

Just watch the beginning of the match and see Cena's head get split wide open, they had to stop the match multiple times because of the bleeding.

Yeah I dont think they would just throw out a guy like Big Show, who has done so much for the business, in that fashion. He's probably just taking some time off, so they made an angle out of it.
