Before the build up to the match, there was a lot of speculation if Manchester United would still maintain their fine start to the Premier League in beating Everton. There are some banter about Lukaku and Wayne Rooney switching colors between both clubs but as the match progresses, the Manchester club didn't disappoint once more in completely dominating their opponent.

Right from kick off, Manchester United dominated the match and got on the score sheet with a goal of the week contender from Valencia. The scoreline after first half was just 1-0 but it could have been more if United wasn't sloppy in the final third.

Everton had a good performance in the second half and had good scoring opportunities too but they couldn't convert it as Manchester United goal keeper David De Gea proved to be hard to beaten. It was very obvious why Real Madrid are very much interested in trying to sign him for the past 3 seasons now.

United took the match beyond Everton's reach immediately Rooney was substituted in the 84th minute by scoring 3 more goals in 5 minutes, making it another 4-0 win and a third one so far since this season began.
