Your favourite musicians in other languages.

I love Indila's stuff, sure I don't know the French language but I have recently wanted to learn and I was told the best way to learn words is from exposure to it. So, thought it be good with Vlogs and music and found Indila's music interesting. Anyone else have favourite musicians that song in other languages than your own.

I lack words to describe how sad it is for French music to be represented by people like her. (i don't blame you, as you said you don't know the language)
Just check some of those (diverse themes and times) to get just a hint of what good French variety is :

Renaud. Georges Brassens. Jean-Jacques Goldman. Michel Fugain. Michel Delpech. Oldelaf. Lucienne Deyle.
    Matmatah.

If you want some other recommendations in French music just ask me, i can give names for specific musical genras too
(rock, rap, metal, you name it) and i'll do my best to give you only good names (of course it's your right to like other artists, i just want to show the best of what we have, but mostly had, in our musical panorama).
    Never overestimate mankind.

As for me well it's mostly English-speaking (for other languages than my own), especially metal, but not only that.

I'm currently listening to a track from Japan.

The location of the band (GIRLS TAPE STORE) doesn't really factor in though. It just so happened that when looking for my kind of genre I found a Japanese band.

That's the thing with indie music. You'll hear music by people all over the world. I've yet to hear an indie song from North Korea, but you never know.

Plus, a lot of music I listen to is entirely instrumental, so I guess they wouldn't count!

If this was true weeaboos would actually know Japanese.

Anything besides rap, I cannot stand rap due to growing up with a brother who blasted it constantly. So, besides that, I'd like anything you can tell me, I'm always up for better music.

Hearing music is how babies and toddlers learn their first language.

What about when music wasn't as popular/widespread and we didn't have easy access to it? Babies wouldn't have heard it very often! I didn't know that we all recently descended from a race of mutes.

    Learn somethin' new every day.

They learn languages from hearing their parents and others talking.

Well yes, but that's talking. A bit different. Imagine a world where all communication is in song, like a big musical.
