    New Anime of 2019?

Are there any series that will be starting this year that you have heard about?

I am always down to get into something new when I have free time on my hands. I am not completely aware of all the anie creators out there so it is hard for me to really know what is going to be released when it is new. By the time it is "new" in America, it is already 3+ years old in Japan.

To be honest I don't follow that much anime over recent years. I'd like to start watching more, but usually when I do it's something quite old.

There's also the fact I usually choose the dub option if it's half-decent, and like you said by the time I get to watch such series they're not so new anymore. Then again there are so many series that never get dubs so I know I'm probably missing out on a lot.

    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

I haven't kept up with many upcoming series as my anime-watching time has significantly decreased. I was excited for Code Geass Season 3 until they retconned that announcement and made it a movie w/ a changed plot.
I just watched FLCL seasons 2 & 3 which aren't 2019, but late-2018 at least. I will be following Sword Art Online (trash, I know...but it's the kind of trash I need just a little bit of in my life) and Attack on Titan into 2019 as they continue airing.

I am sure we both are. I just prefer the dub versions cause I am not keen on reading while I am watching a show. I have done it in the past but it just isn't something I can get in to.

I will check it out. What is the general plot and is there a dubbed version?

I would have to watch the first season of course but if I end up liking it, I will have to thank you

Mob Psycho is by the same Author as One Punch Man.
It has a similar premise in that the main character is overpowered and it's primarily comedy, but I'd say the differences are in style of story.

Where OPM is an over the top wacky joke/satire about an overpowered hero (most of season 1 is just this, but having read the manga the story does actually seem to take form and develop serious characters and some semblence of plot which we'll probably see in season 2) Mob Psycho is a comedy/action series with a main character who is a pacifist psychic and doesn't want to hurt anyone (but will exorcise spirits without hesitation) and is constantly thrust into situations that test him and make the characters grow.
Most of the show seems to be about Mob growing as a person (among the other characters in the cast). A primary feature of the show is the percentage%, which the episodes constantly make references to. Mob tends to keep his powers in check and keeps a very deadpan expression and outlook, but over time his emotions build up and this is represented by a %. When it hits 100% (hence mob psycho 100) he explodes in power with whatever emotion he has at the time. So it's kind of a promise to the viewer that shits going to go down soon when you see the counter go up and also serves as the main motif of the series.

Most of the show revolves around Mob (the overpowered psychic) and his master Reigen (the supposesed greatest Psychic of our Era who is a complete fraud/con-artist but also great human being) getting into trouble and having to deal with spirits, but the serious stuff happens when other psychics start appearing in the story.

If you enjoyed One Punch Man's action and animation but didn't enjoy the almost complete focus on satire or feel story/character wise you are looking for something more serious and with more substance then I think you'd enjoy Mob Psycho a lot.

In my opinion, I am a fan of OPM, but I enjoy Mob Psycho much more because I enjoy all the character development and moments (which OPM occaisionally has too). Having said that I'm enjoying the manga of OPM a lot more than the anime because the content for the second season actually gets more serious and has a lot of cool stuff happening (an actual story arc and plot) beyond 'badguy of the week for Saitama to punch'

Maaaaaaaaan I remember reading One Punch Man back when it was just that trashy webcomic version.

Belated reply here. This is something I think I may be able to get into. It sounds like the anime I enjoyed growing up. I will check it out for sure
