    Current Anime Series/Film

As the thread title says. As for myself, the last thing I watched was Angel Links (what is supposedly an Outlaw Star spin-off), but I didn't watch the final episode, so I need to do that. (To be honest, it wasn't that good.) Recommended by Patrick-Starwind, my next watch shall be Planetes. I was told as an Outlaw Star fan I'd like it, but from what I gather the only thing they have in common is the space setting.

From what I gather, it seems damn good though, too.

    RE: Current Anime Series?

Is Angel Links that good? One of my friends said that he had watched it, and was looking for another series. I recommended OS to him, and off he went; however, I want to know whether I should follow up his idea. Yea or neigh?

    RE: Current Anime Series?

It's not bad... I'll say that much. It's also chockablock with clichés and fan service, though if you don't mind a cat that hides in the lead character's breasts, and at times jumps out turning into a sword, then it might be your thing. All it has in common with Outlaw Star is a small Fred Luo cameo (about five seconds), the general art style, and of course following up on what happened with Duuz and Valeria who were in an episode of Outlaw Star. Duuz has a different voice actor though, which is a small disappointment. (In the dub at least.)

You might as well go for it. You're not exactly going to get A+ quality anime, but it's not bad for something to watch on the odd lazy night or during train journeys etc.

    RE: Current Anime Series?

I started rewatching Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex. I recommend it, but you absolutely have to concentrate and give it your attention if you want to understand just what the hell is going on with the story arcs.
"It turned out that the ghost was just Mr. Finley, who ran the amusement park. The spooky part is that, as soon as the ghost appeared, the teenagers' dog began to speak! And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"

The last anime I watched seriously was Hetalia.
    If you're a history buff it's a must.

My buddy is making me watch Escaflowne though, we'll see how that goes.

I'm sure you'll love it. It was broadcast around the same time as Outlaw Star (if memory serves), and it really is an excellent anime.

    RE: Current Anime Series?

I'm actually watching Outlaw Star right now! I feel kinda bad for joining a forum about an anime I haven't even finished yet so I'm trying my best to do so (Which I'm lucky for because it's not like Naruto or DBZ which is 50000 episodes long and there aren't any dead filler episodes that I disliked)
This is my signature, isn't it great?
