Sonic Movie... YIKES!

I guess there are different versions of Robotnik. I don't really like Robotnik in the 3D Sonic games. Or should I say, "Eggman". He just seems like such a generic villain to me. On the other hand, Robotnik from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog... is best Robotnik, by far!

So is the movie just okay or is it particularly good? I can't tell from what people are saying if it's just better than the low expectations people had for it, or it is a net positive. I know Mantis said it was "awesome!" so that's one vote for the latter. Any other takes on it? My sister is going to be visiting my house more often in the coming months and I'll need things to watch with her from time to time.

In all honesty my expectations for this movie were really low, I originally wanted to see it how much they screwed it up (especially judging by sonic's earlier design) but I was pleasantly surprised. The movie itself was made with a younger audience in mind. I would go as far as to say that I have genuinely enjoyed the movie, some of the jokes were really funny although the storyline isn't canon with any of the games. Although as I have mentioned earlier, Robotnik is really arrogant and condescending in the movie, he just isn't likeable at all, which was pretty disappointing. I kinda feel like I'm going in circles here, the bottom line is, if you go in and don't have really high expectations then you're probably going to enjoy the film.
