Kobe Bryant - Dead at 41

So this news came out of nowhere. He, his daughter, and 8 others were in a helicopter crash. No one survived.

I feel terrible for his family and for the families of those lesser-known people who were also killed.

I keep seeing stuff all over online about Kobe and I get that people idolize him but very few are even mentioning anyone other than him or his daughter as if their lives had less value. That kind of makes me mad but it is the world we live in I suppose.

Anyways, it kind of took me back. Reminded me how fragile life really is.

"It turned out that the ghost was just Mr. Finley, who ran the amusement park. The spooky part is that, as soon as the ghost appeared, the teenagers' dog began to speak! And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"

I'd never actually heard of him. There's only really one basketballer I know of. This guy:

Anyhow, rest in peace, him, and indeed, everybody else aboard who nobody is caring about.

Blasphemy, especially from someone who plays so many videogames such as yourself. Do you want a smack? Because forgetting this guy is how you get a smack:

(He's actually the worst character in the game or something but I don't know I didn't play this shit long enough to get any feel for a tier list. They're all fucking terrible, except that cheating mummy motherfucker.)

Theres also the kickstarted "sequel" that actually is well received.Kobe Bryant - Dead at 41-1580176929012-jpg

All joking aside, though, this is a sad loss, especially since his daughter was with him.
I cant imagine what his wife and 3 other daughters are going through right now.
    Absolutely devastating.

Ah yes. Believe it or not, I actually liked the original Shaq Fu on the SNES. This is probably because we were left with almost no choice at my neighbour's house. He barely had any games. It was that or Spindizzy Worlds, which in all fairness is an okay game... just not multiplayer. If only he had a Mega Drive and some decent games.

Edit: Actually, come to think of it, he had Smash TV. We loved playing that.

Not meaning to take us too far off-topic...

The more I hear about it and see what people are saying, hardly anyone is mentioned anyone other than Kobe and his daughter. Goes to show how much people value others just for being famous. It is kind of disturbing when you think about it. People who never once met Kobe are asking like they lost a best friend or brother. Maybe that is just me though. I don't get sad for people I don't know when they die, I do have deep empathy for the people who truly have to mourn the huge loss in their lives though.

Surprisingly, I have a bit of a funny story about this. It's sort of a 9/11 thing, I'll always remember where I was when it happened.
I was out shopping for a washing machine & dryer for my house (this is day 1 as a home owner) and a guy walked up to me in the Lowe's parking lot and said "How about Kobe?"
My wife and I just stared at him, we had no idea what he was talking about. He tried explaining, but I still had no clue who it was so after we got away from that schizo, I googled "Colby Brent" and was miraculously autocorrected to the news story. I didn't know who this guy was, and I'm sad that people died, but he will always be Colby Brent to me.

I couldn't care less about basketball. I know who Shaq is because of Shaq-Fu but I don't know who they guy next to Bugs Bunny is in Mantis' post.
Why the hell is this guy named after a kind of beef anyway?

That made me laugh lol You have to share that story more. As I said, I am more sad for the people who were close the those who died in the accident more so than for the people that died. A lot of people assume just because Kobe was famous that EVERYONE knew his name and that is clearly not the case.
