    Aisha Posters

hunterryan89 has been asking about posters of Aisha. This is because this weekend he's going to a convention where Aisha's voice actress, Lenore Zann, will be. So he's going to try to get a few autographs. Since I've got my own custom posters and canvases before I figured it'd be fun to help out so Hunter can print a few posters.

I'm gonna post what I come up with. These can be a little difficult to make. At their actual resolution, large poster resolutions are gargantuan. I've halved that resolution and it still looks great on a large poster but is very big. So you only really need this if you do intend to print a poster or canvas. Here's the Drive link. By the way, I upscaled this one with neural networks.

    Preview of the first one.

It's a rather unconventional image of Aisha but I think it has a lot of charm. I'm being more partial to Aisha images that have more space for an autograph. I'll do a bunch more tomorrow. Honestly I don't exactly know how this kind of thing works. That is, whether it's only somebody signing their name or you can request a message.

Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

Nice! I'll be taking what I have to do prints first thing in the morning. When I (hopefully!) see her I'll be looking to get whatever I can signed and probably just going for plain vanilla autographs, and then depending on what I'm able to get I can decide what to do with them from there.
Also, depending on what I take I may bring a silver sharpie as well in case I'm asking her to sign one that isn't as space and color friendly for signing.

And I had never heard of upscaling with neural networks. Just looked into it and that's really cool!

Welp, if you've already gone to the print shop I guess my work is finished. You should try to avoid taking anything lower than a HD resolution to get printed at 24x36". Just saying that were it me, I wouldn't want my once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get a large poster signed by a VA to be tarnished by a blocky/grainy/etc. image.

Edit: For reference check out this guide.

Haven’t gone yet. Just woke up and still in bed! But it is literally right next door to my apartment and will be open all day today and tomorrow, so I’ve got plenty of time to go here in a little bit and/or again until 6pm tomorrow.

Oof...printing gets expensive! High res poster is $8 per sq. ft. and so my original idea of going 24"x36" makes for a $48 poster! Might be dropping my ideal print size down to 18"x24" to accommodate that. The couple of images I sent at first the guy said might be a little grainy, so the procrastinated adventure to procure a poster to get signed is heating up. Stay tuned for more!

From my experience, similar to high street stores vs. the internet, I've been able to get posters and canvases online surprisingly cheap at times. Certainly way cheaper than what you're being asked. Given your time frame I guess your local is your only option.

I can bang out a few more in the next few hours if you still want any.

I would imagine that it's much easier to bring the price down when you're ordering/creating larger quantities for the purpose of resale, so it makes sense they tend to be cheaper through online routes. I'm not sure how long the scanning process takes for you, so if there's an easier, more convenient way to see what you had without taking up more of your time than necessary I'm happy to accommodate!

*edit: I answered most of my question. Subscribed on patreon and found the art book the scan is from. As much as I'd rather post another comment for the extra wong, I decided to settle with an edit to keep from spamming with comments that only concerned my current issue *

I spent a LOT of time on one art book, but that's because I'm usually (when time allows) very obsessive-compulsive about getting scans as good as I can muster. Most normal people (also known as "sane") could do it more quickly. I've scanned and completed most of the pages but only released a preview on my Patreon.

Speaking of which I just noticed you became a patron. Thanks, I really appreciate it. I'm just applying the rewards to your Nexus account. You'll find the main reward on the forum index.

Anyhow, since I've already scanned a lot of the Aisha art I was planning on using it's just a matter of making them poster-ready. Use whichever ones you like. (Will post them one-by-one during the next few hours.)

Edit (d'oh, you ninja'd me, lol): If there's any art in particular you'd like to use I can get it to the right size for a poster. (If feasible, that is.) I know there's only so much Aisha art in those scans but I can use the better choices. I can try some of the black/white artwork unless you only want colour. (I'll do it anyway if it's quick.)

One I just prepared. However, it isn't suitable for a usual poster. It's square and there was no good way to fit it inside usual poster proportions. But if you'd like a square poster this may work nicely. I wouldn't say it's perfect, but for something that was originally a smallish box on a magazine page it looks decent. Once again I took advantage of neural networks. Full-size image.

It isn't of Aisha in particular, but it has a nice Aisha pose so I figured I'd add it. Added bonus of the best place for a signature being on the coastline above her ass.

Another beach one that also isn't Aisha-specific but figured I'd add it anyway. It is however poster-sized. Originally from a postcard. Make of that as you will.
