Thread: Chat Box

I remember the old Chat Box on the forums quite fondly, and was curious to know if there was any thought to bringing it back. I know it hurt activity on the forums a bit, but it was a nice way to chat with others in the forums more easily, outside of topics.

I looove the forums myself...But a cbox isn't a bad idea, either. I mean, I chat with Mantis off site sometimes and it's fun. It'd be fun to chat with even more people. Though, again, I wonder if the forums would be sad...But some topics are easier to talk about outside of a forum, i guess, just like some are easier on one.

Did we have a chat box? (Sometimes called a "shoutbox" which is usually at the header or footer of the forum.) Unless you mean the chat page. It's a consideration but at least in Nexus' infancy I want the activity to grow naturally. I think the chat was indeed the reason for an activity decline on OSUK and it got pretty bad sometimes, so I'll have to think about this.
