Do you always update to the newest technology?

I personally never cared about upgrading. My iphone 4 was stolen a few years ago and every sine I got the iphone 5 to replace that one I have never even wanted to upgrade to the iphone 6. I never saw the need especially when everything is working fine. I pretty much stick with the same thing until that item breaks or just gets old and worn out. On the other hand I have friends that get in line at the Apple store when something new comes out!

Where do you stand on this topic?

I don't tend to update very quickly if I do. I don't even have an up-to-date smartphone [the one I had years ago has no phone service so it's just a PDA pretty much that is mostly used by my dad to have a device; my actual phone is probably similar to things our parents used at most], and the computers and stuff in my house are well over 3 years old. I do have a kindle [the original kindle fire, no HD or anything]...But I don't replace things that much unless it's completely broken. You should see how scratched up my 2-3 year old 3DS is. xD

I used to be keen on updating to the latest tech but not so much anymore. These days I'll be happy with something as long as it does what I need it to do without fuss and only upgrade when it gives up the ghost and if it becomes lost.

I have to admit that I've upgraded my phone to an almost top of the line one recently but I was itching on doing it doe a while anyway as I wanted to go back to a brand that I trusted, plus I wanted that extra battery life and microSD support!

I never update immediately I wait it out for a bit to others results. My ipad is still on iOS 7 because of the bad job they did on the first update of the iOS 8. It's also the reason I never by the first of something mostly because they haven't quit worked out all of the bugs out, but want to sell as soon as possible.

I never update until there is something I actually really need. If the gadget that I have does what I need it to do and it does it well, I don't find a reason to update/upgrade it unless the update is free and better or the same as the older version. It's like windows 7 and windows 8. Windows 7 is better to many so why upgrade? Most new ''updated'' items arent even worth the cost of buying a completely new one. Sometmes, they're almost the same.

I've been using my phone for almost 3 years now and I'm still in love with it! I think new released gadgets are pretty awesome however, I just don't see the need in upgrading gadgets especially when I can still use it and if it's still working fine. Well the only gadget that I need to upgrade as of now would be my 10 year old laptop which I think I should really do since it's now sluggish and slow.

Ha, my husband loves to tease me about being afraid of technology or being "technologically challenged." I'm not afraid, really. I just don't like to upgrade. It seems like as soon as I get comfortable with something, it's ready to be upgraded and I have to start all over.

I just don't need to show off the latest and greatest of everything. If what I have works for me and meets my needs, I'm good to go. I also figure that waiting means I don't have to worry about as many bugs with new tech. Let 'em work out the bugs then I'll check it out (and by then the prices usually go down too, so bonus).

Nope. I only got an iPhone 5S as it was free to complete a job. Even if I liked Apple's tech I wouldn't get it because of the price. I still use my iPhone 5S as it's a competent phone when jailbroken and I haven't seen a need to get a newer phone. I stayed on Windows 7 until I needed to switch to Windows 10 due to hardware requirements. Newer isn't always better, although Windows 10 is okay if you install some tweaks to give it a more classic UI. As for consoles I've been using PC to game for a long time, but I did buy an Xbox One eventually (I only use it as a media player now!) and as a general rule of thumb it's best to avoid getting expensive tech until it's at least a year old.

Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

Well I do want to upgrade my PC but it really costs a lot so I won't be bale to upgrade it now. Besides, it still is quite good to use so I would still stick to it for now. In terms of other devices like phones, I really don't want to throw money on something that don't bring me more money. I have been using my phone for more than 3 years and it still works well so I won't upgrade it for now.
