Thread: Anime Series Past

This thread is dedicated to series that are no longer with us, having been put on indefinite hiatus or those that were canceled.

Post the names of the series you wish to have remembered to the general public, and your fondest memories.

Are you referring to series that were cancelled mid-broadcast or just old ones no one seems to care about anymore?

Any. Series that had potential, but were canceled after one season, or in mid-broadcast. Also, series that no one thinks about. Any series that is no longer on the air is fair game to whomever wishes to post.

The Pirates of Dark Waters: Not exactly and anime per say, but more of a very cool show I grew up watching, hardly anyone remembers it or no one has every heard of it. I watched it everyday during lunch when I was a wee youngin. If you dont' recall it, it was about a group of pirates after the thirteen treasures of rule to free the world of the evil that has been cast upon it, but then they canceled it after getting like 6 treasures, I was so disappointed. I thought it was an awesome show.

This, that the modern Gundam fans who only seem to mention Gundam Wing or Gundam Seed wouldn't appreciate...

This was a micro series I remember from Toonami a long long time ago. Each episode was only like 5 minutes and the final episode just left me wanting to see more but they never continued with it. Later on, Toonami showed a show based on the same universe but it was a bit different and just not the same.

Anyway, I understand the significance of the early Gundam series, seen the original series.
Still, Gundam Wing still holds a special place in my childhood.
G-Gundam too, a little campy, but still good.

I remember that show, I also remember the commercial where it promoted the show but then made it seem that it was 'taped' over by video of a cat lapping milk.
