Cowboy Bebop gets the live action treatment from Netflix

‘Cowboy Bebop’: John Cho Among Four Cast in Netflix Live-Action Series – Variety

Yes that's the actual cast Times like this make me glad Outlaw Star isn't anywhere near popular enough for Hollywood, Netflix etc. to shit it up with a crappy "reimagining" that insults the source material.

    What do you guys think?

I just can't see that cast as the characters. John Cho just has this "middle-aged going on teenager" look to him which is quite different to Spike's suave late 20s appearance. And I don't think the other actors were good choices either. I totally agree with this being one reason to not see Outlaw Star's lower popularity as a bad thing. I read about this news a few days ago and all the controversy surrounding Jet's skin colour (same business that happened with L in Death Note) but it doesn't bother me as I'm not a Bebop fan.
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

They're seriously getting Harold from Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle to play Spike? I'm sorry but I don't think I can take him seriously as Spike. He doesn't have that cool, laid back vibe that Spike has. I suppose he can prove me wrong but I'm really have a hard time picturing him pulling off the role.
