Wrong forum, so I'll move this. Hmmm, interesting thread. I'd mention some Outlaw Star ones, but most members here will already know them. I'm just going to write a few in no particular order. There are so many awesome fights in Kill la Kill, but I think some of the best have involved Ryuko and Nui. One of my favourite fights is Cloud vs. Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Perfect Blue had a great fight too, but I wouldn't call it epic as such. I know there are plenty of others, but it surprises me when I look at my top anime listing how many of my favourite series don't have many fights at all.

By the way, if you're going to give any details, remember to use the spoiler tag.
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

Hmm....the problem with lists like these is that as soon as I hit 'send', I realize that I've overlooked something. I've got to think about that for a bit.

Spike and Vicious' battle towards the end of the Ballad of the Fallen Angels episode of Cowboy Bebop has to be right up there.

The running battle between Roberta and the Grey Fox unit through Roanapur in the Baile de Muerte arc of Black Lagoon

The Major, Batou and the Tachikomas vs the armoured suits who were in the middle of breaking up an arms deal between Kuze, the refugees and a Russian weapons dealer in the FABRICATE FOG episode of SAC: 2nd GIG (aided considerably by Yoko Kanno's soundtrack, imho).

Drake and Yomiko's assault on the I-jin stronghold towards the end of the Read or Die OVA

For pure, over-the-top Gainax, there's always the titular (tee hee!) characters from Panty and Stocking versus the Demon Sisters in episode 6 that somehow manages to out-FLCL FLCL in just one episode.

Kirika and Chloe slicing and shooting their way through Taiwanese Triads in Noir

My favorite fight in anime, by FAR, is the fight vs. Mosquito in the "vortex of madness" in Soul Eater, pretty much right before the big confrontation with the Kishin Egg.
The race against time created enough tension already, but the fact that Maka and the others had to deal with Mosquito put things over the top. It looked like everyone was in dire straits, but that moment when Soul plays the piano in the recital room of his consciousness to conduct Maka, Blackstar, and Kid into creating one massive soul resonance is just surreal and created such a tide shift that I almost fell out of my chair. It looked obvious on purpose, but the way Soul literally conducted the other meisters and weapons (Tsubaki and the Thompson sisters) into battle with such coordination, style, and over-the-top resonance attacks to finish Mosquito off was simply stunning. Hell, if the animation itself could paint a picture as to what was going on, it would be up there with the likes of Rembrandt.

It's probably the only time in anime when after the fight ended, I had to pause the video and change into new clothes. It was that f***ing epic.
A boy has the right to dream. There are endless possibilities stretched out before him. What awaits him down the path he will then have to choose; the boy doesn't always know. At some point the boy then becomes an adult, and learns what he was able to become. Joy and sadness will forever accompany this. He is confronted with a choice; when this happens, does he bid his past farewell in his heart? Once a boy becomes an adult, he can no longer go back to being a boy; the boy is now a man. Only one thing can be said: "A boy has the right to dream.". For those endless possibilities are stretched out before him.

We must remember...all men were once boys.

I really liked a lot of the fights in FMAB especially the ones involving King Bradley or Roy Mustang. These two are as badass as shounen fighters get. The one I liked the most in that show was Bradley vs Scar. I hate how Scar had such an unfair advantage since Bradley was injured, but it was badass nonetheless.

I think I should mention some One piece ones as well. I love Zoro and his sword fights, but I'll have to give this spot to Luffy vs Crocodile. It was a great fight in every way even for the age of the animation. The soundtracks used were beautiful and they added lots of humor to the fight which I don't think was a bad thing at all, it was hilarious.

Since this thread is probably going to be full of the best epic shounen or seinen fights, I think I'll post about something that I believe deserves a shoutout.

GUNDAM BUILD FIGHTERS. Gosh, the main fights in that series are so hyped that I surprised myself at how into it I got while I was watching. The show isn't even that serious, but I think the anime embodies the spirit of gaming perfectly, and for a heavy gamer like myself it was too enjoying to watch.

Notable fights: Fellini vs. Reiji (Ep. 17 I believe) and Yuuki vs. Reiji (Ep. 6 I think).

I like most Gundam Fights myself, particularly in G Gundam. But there are some great fights in Kenichi [honestly I loved him against the boxer that soon became his friend]. But I think when I look back at some of the fights I've seen...Mostly because i'm not big on fights...

Any 'fight' between Gammon and Kaito is hilarious [Phi Brain] and...I know there was this really good one when Natsume was taken away in Natsume Yuujinchou I loved but...ugh my brain is fried. ;-; I think they kicked my brain on accident.

An honorable mention for me goes out to the final fight in Gurren Lagann. They were throwing fricken ENTIRE GALAXIES at each other! That is awesome in and of itself.

I completely forget to mention that. Gurren Lagann is full of amazing battles. Another one I'll mention is GANTZ. The fights are probably best for their complete randomness. I need to watch that again.

There are some really entertaining [albeit not 'epic'] fights in Working!!! Well, if we include things like Yachiyo's sword she always keeps and hits people with once in a blue moon, or how often Takanashi gets hit square in the face by Inami. But seriously, the reasons they even hit each other is still funny enough to feel epic to me anyway.
