    Future Anime Series/Films

We have a thread for the Current Anime series/Films but we don't know what you guys plan to watch in the future so that's why this is here. I would like you all to list anime shows/films that you plan to watch in the near future. Don't delve to far into the future. We don't need to know your life plans XD

I tend to line up and watch more movies than shows, but since I've been doing it that way I'm running out of films, well more like they're becoming harder to find. I got some help with recommendations and here they are. I plan to watch these all of these by the end of this week:

Starting tomorrow night I'm going to watch perfect blue Future Anime Series/Films

Later after that paprika Future Anime Series/Films

And I'm saving metropolis for this weekend. I look foward to watching it majin, thanks for the heads up! Future Anime Series/Films

As for series I've been trying to finish up gunxsword so that move onto Caanan afterwards.

    So what's on your list?

(21:31:56) TheMachetejoe: Nope! I'm as stealthy as a mouse...on bear adrenaline."
"(18:42:32) Hannah: I like to giggle when I sit in chairs."
"(19:46:20) lloydSSJ4: I was contemplating my similarities with Fred Luo, while making a sandwhich."

    RE: Future Anime Series/Films

I'll list what I have planned for my next five. As with everything in life, it's possible I'll deviate, but anyway...

    [hr]

    1. Ergo Proxy

In a futuristic world almost barren of life, mankind is confined to mechanized domed cities where A.I.’s control all aspects of life. In this world, humans are no longer born, they are manufactured in a production line; and alongside them live androids known as autoreivs. Within one of these domed sanctuaries named Romdeau lives Re-l Mayer, one of a few citizens who aren’t entirely prevented from thinking. Her grandfather's prominent position and the affection of the scientist Daedalus have left her more free will than is normally allowed, but Re-l has started to question the sanctity of the city and the citizens' perfect way of life.

With mysterious beings known as proxies causing havoc and a man named Vincent causing great influence on her life, Re-l must travel outside of the city to find the answers she seeks and discover the mystery behind "the awakening".

Mantis: Given the fact I have it on my Galaxy S2, it seems like the logical choice to watch it first.

    2. Planetes

In the year 2075, humanity has spread to the stars, along with their technology, colonies, and... waste? At such great speeds in orbit, even a tiny bolt can cause a tragic disaster. Enter the team of the half division. Their job? To gather the garbage and debris that circles the Earth, in order to keep space safe. From broken-down satellites to bolts and nails, there's nothing that the underpaid and underappreciated staff can't salvage. Join Hachimaki, Tanabe, Fee, and the rest of the gang as they risk their lives to keep space clean, and keep their wallets... empty.

Mantis: I told someone from this forum nearly a year ago that I was going to watch this "very soon". Oops.

    3. Whisper of the Heart

Whisper of the Heart is a touching Ghibli slice-of-life story, about a young girl named Shizuku. While riding the train, she notices a fat cat riding alongside her. Following the cat, she finds a shop where she is told an enchanting story of a gold statue named "The Baron". WotH follows Shizuku in her struggles to grow, and her budding love with the shopkeeper's son.

Mantis: "The Baron", eh? This should be interesting.

    4. Kiki's Delivery Service

Kiki is a young witch who has just turned thirteen, and as tradition dictates she must now leave the safety of her home for a year to undergo witch training. One clear night, Kiki takes off with her cat Jiji and her mother's broomstick to start her new life, and finds herself in a town near the ocean - but she's disappointed to find that people aren't nearly as friendly as she'd imagined they'd be. With nowhere to stay and no outstanding magical skills besides flying, Kiki begins to wonder if she's come to the right place; but after returning a pacifier to a customer of a local shop, its owner, Osono, offers her a place to stay. Kiki soon decides that she'll start her own delivery service, and with the help of newfound friends she sets forth on a journey to discover who she is and how to make it on her own.

Mantis: What can I say? It's a Ghibli film, obviously with a children target audience, but that's never stopped me from enjoying anything. And from what I've heard, this will be great.

    5. Saikano: Another Love Song

Lieutenant Mizuki, an officer of high standing in the Japanese Armed Forces, has served her country dutifully, sacrificing everything she knows and loves – including her own body. As a prototype weapon of immeasurable power, she willingly did away with the life of a normal woman to serve and protect as a fighter unmatched. With the advent of a stronger and more efficient weapon by the name of Chise, however, Mizuki feels strangely put out and unneeded. Through this vacant and seemingly-normal replacement, however, Mizuki learns a lot more about herself than any military service could have taught her...

Mantis: This is essentially a side-story to complement the original Saikano series that I saw a few years back. I enjoyed it, so I expect I'll enjoy this OVA which I hopefully won't have to remember a great deal of the series for.
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

@KokiriNinja, Perfect Blue was a pretty good anime movie. In fact, one of the first anime movies I have ever seen.
But for me, I am going to watch Steins;Gate and check some other ones out that my friends were recommending.

I've heard a lot of goof things about "Monster", I'm not really certain it's my type of thing, but I guess I'll at least try it out. I'm also considering "Escaflowne" and "Planetes".

Definitely try out Monster and Escaflowne. Monster is incredible. At least try the first 5-10 episodes of Monster. It does take a few episodes to really "take off", so to speak. Escaflowne is just awesome. Planetes I've yet to watch, but I have watched a few of the others listed above.

    RE: Future Anime Series/Films

On my future watch list is!

    -Ben-to
"Sato Yo is a high school boy who likes SEGA games. One day, he enters a grocery store to buy some food for dinner. When he tries to take a bento box, he loses consciousness. He comes around to find all the bento sold out. He notices there is a war game going on at grocery stores and players called "Wolves" compete for the half-priced bento. Yarizui Sen, the leader of the Half-Pricer Club, forces Yo to join the club and he enters the bento war." (A very interesting concept for a show haha)
    Future Anime Series/Films

    -Toradora!
"It's a new school year and Ryuuji Takasu discovers that not only is he in the same class as his best friend, Yuusaku Kitamura, but also Minori Kushieda whom he's had an undisclosed crush on for quite some time. Along with the two of them comes the “Palmtop Tiger”, tiny Taiga Aisaka and Minori's best friend. Despite her small stature, Taiga takes nothing from anybody and is secretly in love with Kitamura. Ryuuji and Taiga, despite their oil and water relationship, agree to mutually support each other in their quests for their hearts' desire."
    Future Anime Series/Films

    -Black Rock Shooter OAV
"Mato Kuroi just got into junior high school, and on the first day, someone catches her eye; her classmate Yomi Takanashi. The two meet. The innocent and naive Mato. The mature Yomi. Seemingly opposites, but the time they spend together only strengthens a growing friendship. But as they go into their second year at the school, they get placed in separate classes, and they begin to grow apart. But somewhere simultaneously... In another world, a young girl, blue fire residing in her eyes, Black Rock Shooter faces another young girl; this one holding a jet-black scythe, Dead Master, and a battle to the death begins to unfold." (Its only a OAV at the moment but there's word of a series in progress.)
    Future Anime Series/Films

    -Kaze no Stigma
"Yagami Kazuma was originally part of the Kannagi family, a respected family of fire users who have an affinity to fire. However, after being easily defeated by his cousin Ayano and having no talent whatsoever in fire magic, Kazuma is banished and casted out from his family. 4 years later, Kazuma finally returns to Japan, this time as an exceptionally powerful wind user. A series of murders on Kannagi family members have occurred with his arrival. While most of the family including Ayano is convinced Kazuma is the culprit, he honestly isn't. These events begin an all out war against the Kannagi family, with Kazuma and Ayano right in the middle of it. Based on the novel by Takahiro Yamato."
