    Outrage over My Hero Academia?

I am a bit confused about this one.

Horikoshi is facing a lot of backlash right now and I am seeing all kinds of things being said about him online. Everything from him being a nazi supporter to transphobic. I am absolutely confused as to what people are upset about.

I think the outrage has to do with My Hero Academia and one of the characters being shown as a woman or it has something to do with one of the character's names. I am not sure. Does anyone know what is happening here?

I don't follow the series to know, it just seems like everyone is overreacting about something.

Is everyone overreacting or are a few vocal people on Twitter overreacting for attention? If it isn't even clear what the author did wrong, it's probably just manufactured outrage that we will all forget about by next week.

Hell, the author of Rurouni Kenshin got hauled away for kiddie pictures and when he was released and began drawing again everyone forgot. Then again, lefties aren't as hard on pedos as they are on straight cartoon characters. This sounds to me a lot like the hubbub over Attack on Titan being Nazi manga/anime. It's literally nothing.

I never found a clear issue. It seems like people were just finding things to freak out over and doing it. Good news though is it shows how popular the show is over here now. I mean they have done nothing but piss off the OG fans and they outnumbered them by a longshot.

I firmly believe that people who do stuff like that are either A. very lonely or B. don't feel genuine emotions...so they feign outrage just to fill the void. The surge of emotion is addictive to them. They're probably strung out on anti-depressants and need that rise. Apparently most of the USA's anti-depressants & contraceptives are made in China, so if the quarantines continue over there the stock of both those kinds of pills will run out. Let's see how they handle minor offenses in anime THEN.
