Rurouni Kenshin which first grace the anime spotlight in the 90's. It follows the story of a Meiji era swordsman named Kenshin Himura who made a reputation being the best assassin in the Bakumatsu era known as the manslayer Battoussai. Enter the Meiji era where Kenshin Himura now a carefree Ronin travels the countryside bumps into Kaoru Kamia daughter of the Kamia Dojo founder. After helping Kaoru to dispose some thugs Kenshin decided to stay in the dojo and along with several characters like Sanosuke Sagara, Yahiko Myojin, Megumi Takani, Aoshi Shinomori, Saito Hajime, and his master Hiko Seijuro who is the Grandmaster of the swordstyle Hitten Mitsurugi Ryu which is Kenshin's swordstyle, battles Shishio Makoto and his minions who wants to overthrow the Meiji government and plunge Japan to chaos.

I like this Anime alot and it's included in my top 10 list of personal favorites. It has great samurai fighting scenes which rivals Samurai Champloo. It also has a good prequel which delves on his life as a student and young assassin. I love the soundtrack more so the scoring on the battle scenes. Although I'm not in favor of the ending which I won't mention here. Overall this Anime Rocks!

    I rate Rurouni Kenshin-Samurai X a 9/10.

I've watched this anime before, and I must say that it has a good concept and storyline. There's nothing more inspiring to watch than a character, Kenshin Himura, trying his best to change and be a better man. Leaving his past behind, Kenshin can't turn away from all the sword fights, but at least he does not have the intention to kill anymore by wielding a reverse-edge blade sword.
