    A single power or multi-power?

When you watch anime with fighting, do you like to see a single main character to take care of everything, and only he/she can take care of everything, or you prefer to see a bunch of useful good characters instead of relaying on a single one?

I feel it is more interesting when the whole show/story isn't depended on a single hero to "save the world".

RE: A single power or multi-power?

I agree. There should at least be some involvement from other protagonists. It's usually the case that the protagonist does the bulk of the work and is given guidance from others along the way. I'm fine with that, but I guess the whole "multi-power" thing sets Outlaw Star apart from many series. In a few episodes Gene isn't the main focus. (For example, The Strongest Woman in the Universe and Cats & Girls & Spaceships.)

GO!GO! POWER RANGERS!! Multi for me because one person will get tiresome after awhile. Bubblegum Crisis is a great example of multi power teamwork.
We are all insane, we just act normal for the sake of others.

Multi. Just for the sake of there being some actual surprises, instead of "well we all knew he/she was going to do that, because MAINCHARACTERLOL".
"It turned out that the ghost was just Mr. Finley, who ran the amusement park. The spooky part is that, as soon as the ghost appeared, the teenagers' dog began to speak! And it spoke in a tortured parody of human speech: 'relp me, Raggy,' it would say. 'I am an abomination and rould re rilled. Rill re, Raggy.'"

Definitely multi-power. I like to see variety. Definitely makes it more interesting to watch as well.

Power rangers? Psssh... I prefer these guys!

Looks like everyone here agrees with me.
The same old the whole world depend on a single man or woman is not only getting old, but also quite unrealistic. On the top of that, less surprises and less interesting to the story.

As the matter of fact, I don't even want to see the one main character as the most powerful. It is more interesting he/she is powerful but not the most powerful good guy/girl out there.

Sometimes it is just fun to see the main character had such hard time with a bad guy or two, then someone else walked in and easily took care of it and walked away in a cool fashion haha!

Kokiri, I was just thinking about that show the other day.
Used to have some action figures from it in my younger years.
I looked them up not long ago to discover that they cost a chunk of change these days.
