    Sony Bought Funimation

    https://www.funimation.com/blog/2017...s/#partnership
So, apparently, Funimation agreed to sell 90% of its company to Sony. At first, this was a bit concerning, since I worried it would stop the partnership with Crunchyroll, but according to Funimation itself
"There are no changes to our existing partnership or to the content available from Funimation on either service. Crunchyroll will continue to broadcast subtitled simulcasts, and FunimationNow will continue to stream SimulDubs for most titles within two weeks after the shows original Japanese broadcast., There are no changes to our existing partnership or to the content available from Funimation on either service. So, what do you guys think about this. I personally think this can be great. Well be able to get even more quality anime from Funimation.

I'm not too concerned about it as of yet. I know there are a lot of people that are freaking out about it, mostly because they think that Sony is going to make Funimation start pricing their DVDs/Blu-rays at the same level as Japanese releases. In all honesty, I really can't see them doing that. If Sony bought Funimation, that means they're turning a profit and have been successful, and I don't see why Sony would want to change anything that might impact that success.

Pricing up their DVDs/Blu-rays would be really dumb on their part if they happen to do that. I have a feeling they are going to place a lot more unskippable anti-piracy ads.
We are all insane, we just act normal for the sake of others.

    I could see that happening.

One of things I've heard mentioned is that Funimation can benefit immensely from Sony's distribution networks. That would be a big plus for them.
