Thread: Thinking of getting an Outlaw Star Themed arcade cabinet made

I really wish I could get it now lol i have so many ideas. I would want the controller area to look like the dash board of Gene's controls for the ship and most the logo on top would say "Outlaw Starcade."

Which games would you run inside of it? I assume Galaga is a given? Haha

Space Invaders. Gotta blow all of those Kei Pirates away.



Edit: I've dabbled in indie game development. If you're serious about a cabinet like this and have the money to fund a professional-looking one, I'd consider making an Outlaw Star game for that cabinet. It's something I've planned to do after finishing the manga anyway. The manga is my highest-priority project right now, but since I'd like to get into indie game creation anyway, getting an Outlaw Star game on a physical cabinet would be a great motivation to make an arcade game.

It's not like I haven't looked into Outlaw Star games before...

@Zemekis I have too many I want on there lol mostly going to be console based games ranging from Atari to n64 era. This local cafe I go to has a a larger arcade cabinet their with these on it. Hopefully i can have the same games he has on it. My cabinet will be a little smaller though. @Mantis that is awesome i didn't know you made a game! I know the images above were for an April Fools Prank. Those screen shots were pretty convincing though lol. I would love to have any OLS game you would make though. I kind of want the cabinet to resemble the recent Bluray Box Set; that looks pretty cool tin my opinion. I'm working on the skin slowly but surely. I will put it here when I'm done.

Ah, designed to imitate the exterior of the Outlaw Star? That'd be awesome. I designed another Outlaw Star website similarly. I thought it might give you some ideas. Just the top of the website below which shows the design. I thought scratched metal looks cool. After all, the XGP would have that after some battles!



Yes, the first three were for April Fools' Day. Keep us posted on this.

@Mantis yeah I want it to look kind of like that. I Also want the logo on top to say "Outlaw Starcade" in the OLS font. I'm curious do you know if their is a font for it already or am I beter off making it from scratch? I like the way you added nexus to yours did you make that on your own?
