Oh hey! Didn't see you there...

Allow me to introduce myself: my name is RTSender, and it's nice to be in a place where I can actually talk about a seriously underrated classic that is Outlaw Star with fellow fans. Feels good, man.

WARNING: This post may be a bit long, so bear with me.

About my username: I chose RTSender as my username because my personal favorite genre of video games are real-time strategy games, particularly Starcraft. For those of you wondering, I was one of those "use map settings" kind of players back in Brood War, so I didn't ladder very often (although I was C+ on the European server). My clantag [ruin] is a local and VERY informal team which I am a part of. We mostly play CoD, but we have dabbled in Halo and League of Legends, and since Starcraft 2 is EXPLODING as an e-sport, I might take it up again.

About me: Well, what can I really say? I'm just some random guy from Cleveland, Ohio going to college to pursue a teaching career. Oh, and I do play drums. And I play golf. And I play Quidditch. And I'm a black belt in karate. And I think Outlaw Star is one of the best animes ever made. Wait, that last one is a given...

About my avatar: A mix between Wobbuffet and Boba Fett. Seems legit.

Favorite OS Character: Hmm...I would have to say Aisha. Not JUST because she's a C'tarl C'tarl, but I think besides Gene she has the most vividly explained character background out of any character. The contrasting traits of being a physical and brutal juggernaut in combat with her playful and childish, albeit aggressive and cocky behavior makes Aisha a pretty deep character, comparatively speaking. I'm also pretty fond of the relationship she has with Jim.

Favorite color: Any palette combination of orange, blue, and gray.

I think that's everything I want to disclose right now. Again, I'm thrilled to be a part of this community; thanks for inviting me!
A boy has the right to dream. There are endless possibilities stretched out before him. What awaits him down the path he will then have to choose; the boy doesn't always know. At some point the boy then becomes an adult, and learns what he was able to become. Joy and sadness will forever accompany this. He is confronted with a choice; when this happens, does he bid his past farewell in his heart? Once a boy becomes an adult, he can no longer go back to being a boy; the boy is now a man. Only one thing can be said: "A boy has the right to dream.". For those endless possibilities are stretched out before him.

We must remember...all men were once boys.

Hey, RTSender. I had a feeling "[ruin]" was a clan tag when I saw you on here. Oh, those old clan days when I founded [BSOD] and met BaronOfStuff, Dr. Killjoy and many others, and played a hell of a lot of Doom...

    Mantis reminisces.

Welcome to the forum! I can't say I'm a huge fan of RTS, but I know that Baron and perhaps a couple of others would be more than happy to talk about that genre. I'm sure the last guy I greeted on here is also pursuing a teaching career. Small world, huh? It's certainly an interesting ambition.
Gene: "Have faith in me guys, enjoy the ride—you're in good hands. I can handle this. I can do it!"
    Jim: "How do you know?"
    Gene: "I don't!"
    Jim: "I knew it."
Gene: "That's okay. There's a first time for everything!"

Welcome fellow fan of OLS and Starcraft. You are in the right place with other fans of Aisha too. I'll tell you something I learned the hard way, no giving a Mando Kisses.

Welcome friend. That is a strong avatar.
Anyway, I am also a fan of the RTS genre. Currently playing Age of Empires 3: The Asian Dynasties, and loving it. Lord of the Rings: Battle For Middle Earth 2 is another good one.
