Here's Johnny... Oh, wait I meant Idolo!

Greetings friends and outlaws. It truly has been awhile hasn't it? Well, reintroductions then, my name is Lord Idolo, but anyone can call me just Idolo (the Lord part was just to feed my ego which is full right now). I joined way back in 2012 when the site was still the UK name and was sharing some Outlaw Star knowledge with Mantis. Been a fan of Outlaw Star back in 2001 when it first aired on Toonami (back when is was on Cartoon Network in the afternoons). Been a Anime fan since the days of Voltron: Defender of the Universe and my taste in anime is Sci-Fi, mecha, action and fanservice (yes, I do like the cheesecake). Mantis and I are in an unofficial competition with each other of owning the most and coolest Outlaw Star merchandise. I will update my journal thread real soon for info. Until the later gator.

Welcome back to the Nexus, my lord! Or just Idolo, if you prefer. :p

Ah, another longtime fan of the series, huh? It seems quite a few of us were fortunate to catch OLS on it's Toonami run. (Here in the UK it actually aired on a channel called 'CNX' which eventually went on to be replaced by Toonami. I specifically remember watching episode 23, the hot springs episode, when I was no more than 7 years old, so we must have been lucky enough to get the uncensored cut over here. Fun memories all around. xD) Anyway, I look forward to seeing your collection! ^^

Welcome back, Idolo. Challenge accepted. I've been meaning to post some merchandise here that will be a timed exclusive, to appear on Facebook later. There's no better time! But you know you'll never beat my collection, don't you?

Hi Idolo, long time no see! Enjoying your return? You should share some cheesecake and other favorite anime with me. I'm curious.

    Red face

There were two airings of OLS on Cartoon Network. The edited Toonami version and the sightly less edited version on Adult Swim that appeared later that same night. Episode 23 was never aired here in the US. I guess it was too much trouble to edit the girls nipples and according to CN "... it did not add to the plot of the series anyway". The anime I watch is mostly 90's and early 2000's anime with some 80's mixed in there. To list a few OLS (of course), Ruin Explorers, Burn Up W & Excess (ADV added a 'giggle' counter for the US release), Nadia: Secret of Blue Water, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Bubblegum Crisis. IMO, fanservice and ecchi based anime are more misses than hits in terms of quality and plot. Agent Aika set the standard for over saturation of fanservice in anime. Just watch Anime Abandon review of it ( http://benthesage.com/anime-abandon-agent-aika/ ).
