Hi all! I've just signed up to the forum.
I'll try and be as active as I can. I'm new to the whole Anime scene. So any recommendations of must watch stuff is appreciated!

Hi Mike, welcome to OSN!
Well, the first must watch anime is outlaw Star, obviously
Some of my favorites are FLCL, InuYasha, Death Note, Sword Art Online, Another, and Gurren Lagaan. Those aren't necessarily the best of all time or anything but they're a few out of the 100's I've enjoyed that would give you a good sampling of what anime offers. There are plenty of older classics and specific recommendations I could make one you find a genre you enjoy most.

Thanks!
And thanks for the recommendations, I'll check them out. Starting with OLS![]()
Hello Mike, welcome to Nexus! Enjoy your stay. Any questions, we're here to help. I agree with a lot of Zemekis' anime suggestions. For obvious reasons I'll recommend Outlaw Star first, but a close second would be Death Note. It's an anime that seems to be very gripping for a lot more people than most other anime.
One question though, why are you with Cod? Do you own a pet cod? Do you really like chip shop battered cod? Or are you maybe a professional Call of Duty player? This all reminds me of the bike-riding Mike who joined many moons ago.
Hey, we joined the same day, like 40 minutes apart! (I notice random stuff like that)
For Anime recommendations, first I'd say Cowboy Bebop and Trigun. They have some things in common with Outlaw Star, and people compare them...sometimes.
Welcome to the forum, both of you!
I second the Cowboy Bebop recommendation for sure. It starts slow but gets interesting pretty fast. Plus the intro and outro music is just the best.
Hope you both enjoy your stay here![]()
Ohhh, you're gonna draw ire from Mantis for that one ;p
Anywho, welcome to the boards,Mike which, much like the Guns and Roses song, we have fun and games. As for anime recommendations I can throw a few at ya. Gunsmith Cats is a great starter anime. It has only a few episodes but it has some great art and some damn fine gunfights if that's what you're into. If you enjoyed that, then there's Black Lagoon. If you want more old-school stuff then check out The Guyver OVA series from the late 80s if you want a helping of gore in your anime.
Welcome aboard! Two I always recommend as good starts are Trigun and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. They encompass and a bit of everything; hard to go wrong.
