Thread: Long overdue for a check-in...

For those that don't know me I joined the outlaw crew back in 2011 and used to be quite the busy member but life caught up with me, things got busy, and my short disappearances turned into one long hiatus. Those that are just joining or thinking of joining I can tell you this is an amazing community with a bunch of amazing individuals that truly made a difference in my life. Everyone is open, kind, and an honest to goodness friend. They got me through school, bouts of loneliness, and hard times. There was always a conversation to look forward to and an ear willing to listen....but enough about that and a more about me!


I'm grown up now (though I don't always act it) and have been living on my own for two years. I work in hospital tech support 8-5, five days a week in my own office; no cubicle! In my free time I love:

• Watching anime (currently Natsume Yuujinchou, Bofuri, Stars Aligned, and more).

• Watching movies (recently the new Aladdin, Oliver and Company, Knives Out, and 1917).

• Playing video games (recently Overwatch, Monster Hunter Ultimate, Gundam Battle Operation 2).

• Playing d&d and board games with friends and coworkers.

• Biking (both bicycle and motorcycle).

• Photography. Will need to upload some of my stuff.

If you ever want to chat or play anything feel free to hit me up. I look forward to meeting the new faces and getting reacquainted with the old.

Man, yesterday was like the great kokirininja raid. Anywho, glad you decided to make a comeback. Playing Borderlands with you was fun. We still do those get togethers (Mantis and I played Halo: Reach not too long ago) and we're getting together again this Saturday and you're welcome to join us again. Just head on over to the weekend-get together thread.

Nice to hear that you play d&d. I played it for awhile but stopped because I got burnt out on it. The old group I was in only wanted to play that despite me suggesting that we try other stuff like Cyberpunk 2020 or World of Darkness. You ever play any of those? If so, what's your opinion on them.

Damn good anime. It will be getting a second season. The creator vowed that after the production company cut its episodes in half.
And...the ending helps with that, too lol.

Heya Kokirininja. It nice to see you again and what you're up to these days. Hospital tech support, eh? What does that entail? Makes Americans sound pretty advanced. Most data is managed on paper here. (I'm not even joking. They don't have any nationwide database, so most information is distributed physically.

The times they actually do use computers (sometimes to manage data locally), well... they're not so great at it:

Good to be back and glad to see you are still around as well! I was not at all prepared for Stars Align. I have seen Kurokos, Haikyuu, Ahiru no Sora, Days, and many more but this is the first sports anime that is just immediately dark in your face. Like...everything is good and feel happy for the characters then they spike up some more darkness!

For sure, I could never completely leave this place! Its cool that they are finally bringing more of the halo series to PC so could check that out. If you all dip into the blizzard are (despite their bad cred right now) I'm always game for overwatch or maybe trying out some StarCraft II. Have never played it but I know its free.

I'm starting to get afraid of the same thing happening to me. I played 3 different campaigns on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. I had to drop the Friday one because it was just getting too much and I was always burnt out after the work week as well to muster up any motivation. I have not tried either of those but they sound like they would be a nice change of pace.

Good to see the forum, your channel, and self still active as well! Just been up to the rinse, cycle, and repeat of work, shows/video games, and sleep. Our team specifically is a melting pot of sorts. We support all the third party software which makes us pretty diverse. Point of sale systems/registers for pharmacies and cafeterias. Hospital security which encompasses cameras, door locks, swipes, and visitor check-ins. Eye clinics and their visual scanning devices. Hearing clinics and their testing booths, and hearing aid configuration stations. Surgery and their brain surgery mapping software. We have 9 different people on our team and each of us support around 15 applications/systems. For the most part everything has been made electonic in some way whether filling out forms online, or on tablets, etc. But there is still pen and paper here as well. As for cyberattacks since we have so many different systems that means we have just as many servers that we have to ensure are always patched and up to date which means some late nights updating and rebooting them.

Yeah, Stars Align is the first sports anime that goes THAT dark.
But I really like that list you have. Some damn good sports anime there.
