Hey guys. My name is Justin. Nice to meet all of you. I had no clue this page existed until recently, Iím so happy I found it! Iíve been a huge fan of this show since I was a kid. I even wrote a few songs some years ago that included samples/names from this show, lol.

Iíve always owned the complete collection but only recently started getting into OLS collecting again. Itís been a real delight to dive back into this show. Building a collection is addicting too. It feels like Iím looking for treasure, LIKE A REAL OUTLAW!

I know Iíll be posting soon about merchandise, I have a few pending questions about region DVD releases, bootlegs, & more.

There is A LOT of info on this site. I just stumbled onto the OLS2 Magna / Patreon information. Iím sorry if this information has been posted before, but can someone link me to what has been translated so far? If Iím reading correctly it should be uploaded on the page, but I canít find it at this time.

Iím also looking into the 3D model Caster gun. Has anyone on this page tackled that project yet?

Lastly, this Patreon page looks pretty awesome. I read that he has the 114 Page Art book (still $380 on eBay) and the animation and illustration guide (still $99 on eBay), plus a BUNCH more. If the Patreon picks back up (hopefully you still have those two new people helping), Iíll be more than happy to pitch in. Iíd love to see those.

Thanks to the people who created this page. Once again Iím so glad to see that OLS has a community thatís still thriving.

Hope to chat with you all soon. 🐵👍🏽

-found the outlaw star 2 thread as well as some of the updates from the Patreon. Some really cool stuff to unpack. Im getting use to the site. Hopefully I can catch up with everything and join the convo soon.

-if anyone reads this, if you have OS merchandise you are parting with, please let me know. Send me a message. Iím treasure hunting right now.

Hi Justin. Welcome to OSN. I'm gonna quote this! We don't tend to get long intro threads, but in this case length is a good thing as it's been a while since I've seen someone this interested in Outlaw Star! Prepare for a reply that's longer. (Hopefully I won't scare you off.)

Yeah, Google sure isn't doing us any favours there. Hopefully the SEO I recently implemented could get us onto page five eventually... Haha, you've gotta share those songs.

Yeah, it really is exciting and addictive! Great for the spirit but not so great for the wallet. Although once you learn how to play your cards right it doesn't have to be that expensive, but more on that below. Let's just say that at first collecting wasn't easy for me because I didn't know where to look and ended up paying through the nose for merch that can be had much cheaper elsewhere.

Certainly! You now have access to the private Galactic Leyline forum, found on the index. (If you don't see it let me know.) Do keep in mind that the manga updates are drafts which have changed a lot over the course of this translation, but at some point we'll of course release a complete version. (We haven't come to a decision about when that will be yet.) We're near the end of the final volume two update, so volume three will begin shortly. With all that out of the way, enjoy!

There's a guy who posted about his ambitious 3D-printed caster gun project a year or two ago. Let's see... ah, here's the thread! I'm sure he posted some newer photos at some point outside of OSN, can't remember. Blind Squirrel used to make the best caster guns but that was a long time ago. I also have a 3D printer that I want to start using again (been gathering dust for a while) but I did attempt a couple of 3D prints. The first was the XGP which turned out horribly (good job I've got the official figures, lol) and this one, just an idea I came up with. If I do get back into 3D printing, it probably won't be anything as sophisticated as a caster gun since I lack the DIY experience, but I'm sure there are some 3D models online.

Thanks for the compliment! I see the eBay prices are still crazy-high. Those pesky Japanese pirates swarm the eBay universe, inflating merch prices tenfold because they know that western fans who don't know better will often pay up. Fortunately, once you dive into Yahoo Auction space, you'll find the prices are much more reasonable. I should probably write a guide for this, then more Outlaw Star fans would probably have a lot of the merch I have which they didn't get because it's simply too expensive on eBay. (Though, saying that, I have found a few good Japanese sellers on eBay.)

I'd be very grateful for your patronage. Yes, the two new guys are still working with me on the manga thankfully and are very dedicated. Haha, I'd probably be pretty surprised if I was any other fan who came across this site. Most Outlaw Star fan sites died off in the 2000s unfortunately. I'm just glad a lot of them were archived by the Wayback Machine.

I don't know what method you used to reply, but if you were using the Outlaw Star Nexus app (links are at the top on the desktop site or you can search on Google Play or the Apple App Store) it's just a case of tapping your post to select it, and then using the icon that's a spanner and a screwdriver. (If memory serves.)

That Outlaw Star 2 thread is horribly outdated. I don't even think I fixed the images. It's from back when OSN was known as Outlaw Star UK, so a lot of the links are probably broken. I've created a new version of the article, but it's on a very unfinished sister site I haven't worked on in a while. (Currently that would be because of my OLS time being spent on the manga, but I'll get back to it.) I've only shared the link with a few people, but I'll PM it to you so you can read the updated OLS2 article which is far better.

I have some spare Outlaw Star merch. If you're in the States, it's just the issue of international shipping, but it isn't a huge deal. I've literally filled most of a large bookcase with all my Outlaw Star items and a lot are duplicates, often purchased because I plan to "debind" (basically destroy) them eventually for scanning, but in some cases I have more than one spare. When you buy from Japan sometimes it's better to snap up as many items as you can in a single shipment to save money in the long term. Sometimes I let my temptations get the better of me and bought extra sets of the manga for only a few dollars, for example. I also have spare doujinshi, even figures. Maybe we can talk about this in the near future, but I'd like to write a stock list before that.

Mantis, nice to meet you! Your contributions to this site are amazing! You definitely didnít scare me off, I very much welcome the conversation. Iíve been a fan of this show for 20 years now and unfortunately Iíve never had a circle of friends who shared the common interest. Im so glad to see that there are some mega fans out there.

I hate google with a passion. In regards to running my own business, itís been a nightmare, but luckily interest has helped push me through. We just need to get more people clicking on the page.

Those songs are locked in a vault, inside a bunker. Lol. Truthfully I could email them to you but canít post them publicly. Due to copyright issues Iíd get flag if I posted them anywhere these days. Sadly, Iíd never get the rights to the samples without talking to the right people and shoving some serious money at them.

I will say that all the songs were instrumentals. The only vocals were samples from the show.

One song was titled: Blue Heaven. No samples, just the name was used. It was a hard rock/metal tune.

One song was titled: Fury. It included two samples of Harry. The line ďcome with meĒ and ďlll never let you be lonely againĒ. Same type of genre, hard rock/metal.

One song was titled: The Anten Seven. The song was the first song I ever wrote with an acoustic guitar (which is what I use 100% these days). The song include the sample ďIf someone were unfortunate enough to make an enemy of the Anten Seven and forced to fight against them, I would say only this: Farewell, friendĒ. Surprisingly enough I still get requests to remake this song.

Merchandise: itís totally addicting. Iím totally opening myself up to some possible sketchy eBay madness, but Iíve totally just dove in. Itís about time I did. Good or bad, Iím ready to start this adventure. So far I havenít been burned yet....so far.

I do very much appreciate you giving me the fair warning. If already seen some sketchy things online. I have seen the yahoo auction, but Iíd definitely need help navigating that, lol. They got some nice goodies on there.

Thanks for access to the LEYLINE. Iíll look into it ASAP. And itís totally understandable about the translation.

CASTER: I bought the Etsy 3D caster kit. Iím desperately trying to find someone to print it and cut the pieces out. Hopefully Iíll find someone soon. Iíd love to see that XGP you made lol. That star/dragon is AWESOME!! (Side note, Iíve been trying like hell to find the right tattoo person to get that dragon done. (ONE DAY SOON!). If you get that printer up and running, letís talk! Iíll pay for materials and coffee. Lol.

EBAY: some of those cell prices are STUPID high. The art book and the illustration book too. But they are ďhotĒ items and like you said, they know that westerners want it. Not a bad idea to make a merch guide. That would be helpful. Something that says the general value of items, which discs are bootlegs, USA only merch and Japan only merch, etc.

Patreon: id love to throw some money in. I think the idea is a good one, Iíd love to see it completed.

OutlawStar2: the thread is old, photos are gone, but lots of good info. I look forward to reading the updated article.

SPARE MERCH: bro, HELL YEAH! message me, Iíll TAKE IT ALL. LOL.

I see you messaged me also, Iíll go check that out now.

Thank YOU for the warm welcome.

Greetings good sir! I'd love to hook you up with some merchandise but alas, I don't have any interesting OLS stuff outside of the blu-ray. Mantis probably gave the best answer on that. Still, it's good to have more people come to this board. Everyone here is friendly so don't be afraid to take part in posts and discussions. Hell, you're more than welcome to join us on game/movie nights!

Hope to hear more from you soon!

I got the fancy Outlaw Star collector's blu-ray. I remember pre-ordering it and that was the only time I ever pre-oredred a blu-ray release because of how pumped I was for it. It came with an cool little artbook but sadly, it didn't really contain anything that we haven't seen before but it was nice all the same.

Hehe, no we don't watch OLS every movie night, though that wouldn't be a bad idea (Say Mantis, should we do an anniversary showing of that one of these days?). We typically play games and watch various movies/animes. Lately, we've been watching a combo of action and schlocky flicks. We typically do that on weekends depending on how available any one is. Whenever we do a gettogether, we usually plan in this thread.

    Monthly gaming get together

I actually plan on posting on there later tonight to plan for next weekend. If you're up for it, we'd love to have ya come along!

I know the feeling! I've gotta be honest, I've never actually known an Outlaw Star fan in real life, believe it or not. I think there was one guy I knew at college who may have watched it but he wasn't a fan per se. Any other friends at college hadn't seen it. Tried to watch it with my housemates at university, no dice. Girlfriend at the time didn't want to watch it with me. Their loss!

I'd be a hypocrite if I said I hate Google since I use Chrome and Android, but yeah, the search engine can be annoying so I feel your pain there. The situation on Bing isn't much better. OSN actually makes it to page three on DuckDuckGo but that search engine's only recently taking off. It's all such a pain in the ass, even if you invest some money into it. I take it you've tried advertising your business on social media?

I'd totally listen to them privately. While I'm sure Starwind55 has a lot more to say about metal (if I recall correctly he's a fairly big fan) I do love some instrumental metal (or instrumental in general) so those songs sound awesome.

Oooh, I didn't even know such a kit exists on Etsy. The XGP was my first 3D print. It's not actually my model as I found it on Thingiverse. I'll get a photo when I can but it turned out very badly. Glad ya like the star/dragon though. I always thought the dragon would make an excellent tattoo, so good luck with that! I'll be sure to let you know about the printer.

There's this cel seller who's called silvrdrago or something like that. I think he gets cels en masse from Japan and resells them on eBay at stupid prices. I do have a few Outlaw Star cels but I didn't pay anything near the prices he charges. Merch guide is going on my to-do list!

Also, yeah, like Starwind said we do that gaming/movie night on a lot of weekends, not every one but usually more often than monthly, and you're welcome to join in. I'll be sure to post in that thread too when I have a better idea of what next weekend's schedule will be like. As for the anniversary business, we're kind of in the middle of the two TV anniversaries (Japan and Toonami), however the first Outlaw Star DVD was released in Japan on August the 25th, 1999. August the 25th this year is a Sunday. So how about starting the series together then as a 20th anniversary?

Ya know, Iíve never actually opened my blue ray copy lol.

Welcome to the forum! I'm not much of a collector with anything. I think I will start one with anime and gaming related items once I have more space. I am living in a small place right now, no room to expand things. Hope you enjoy it here, lots of really cool people on this forum
