For the record, I wasn't one of the folks in line to order one. I'm just making sure this thread stays alive so that those who were on-board don't forget & so you remember to update if anything arrives. I've thrown away so many anime figures recently, I could never justify spending another dollar on one. I was the king of cringe for a while for sure. If I tossed a few more, I could balance it out with an Aisha and a Melfina I guess. I used to have a friend who painted these as a side-hustle.

Why not just sell them? I don't have that many anime figures. Outlaw Star, some knock-off small Evangelion and FMA figures I got from China, a Welcome to the NHK Misaki figure, some Maison Ikkoku figures, and a couple of others but they don't take up much room on my bookcase. Probably my favourite figures (outside of OLS) are Chrono Trigger. So badass.

As a side note to those interested, even if the package arrived today it'd be a couple of months until Aisha's ready to order because I need to send the garage kit to Mexico, then Carlos needs to cast it when he finds the time.

Because I had so many figures that only cost me $2-10 in Japan anyway, many of which were from games/series I don't know. I wouldn't have a clue what to list them online as, and the ones that I was able to find were not worth the shipping cost to sell. The hours it would take to list them on eBay or something would be better spent doing overtime at work in that case

I had/have A LOT. Like several bookshelves of just figures. It is/was bad.

    Ding-dong.

    (Cat not included.)

And now, the moment of truth...

Won: Aisha Clanclan Official Garage Kit-aishabox2-jpg

There it is: the Aisha garage kit from an honest seller, taken out of its box to show that indeed the parts are there including the ponytail which was the missing piece of the puzzle. I'll send an e-mail to Carlos soon to give him the update and hopefully he'll be receiving a ponytail in the post soon enough. (Or the whole kit, not sure.)

In case you're wondering, the other items in this box are Takeshi's Castle merchandise, my favourite Japanese game show from the 1980s. (Items look quite immaculate, all things considered.)

So, I'm happy about this of course...

But I'm not the excited one.

Sorry about the painfully long wait, but I'm sending the last piece to Mexico in a few days, express delivery! I won't go into it, but I was having a pretty stressful time at the end of last year, and I just wanted to clear my head and release some pressure for a couple of months, so to speak.

It feels like this has been ongoing for years and there've been ups and downs. Finally getting my hands on one of these kits was a massive up. Discovering I'd been cheated by the Japanese seller AFTER I sent the first kit to Mexico was a big, big down. By chance getting another kit was a real big up! And now finally we're gonna complete this, I'm going to get my painted Aisha and make this available to all of you, aaaannd I'm gonna set my sights on that super-rare Melfina.

    I'll keep you posted!

Just to let you know, I was a bit delayed but Aisha's ponytail is on its way to Mexico! And Carlos seems very ready to make this happen. I can't truly speak for him but it seems he'll be onto it as soon as he can after it arrives.

Finally, no more interruptions. No more Japanese tricksters fleecing me. No more divine interventions from the powers that be. (I hope.) No more couriers delaying packages with high fees. (Er... maybe!) And most importantly, no more laziness from yours truly. Aisha shall be yours soon, I promise... you'll see!

(I'd better not have just jinxed this. Update coming when it's left the UK as sadly there's no tracking in Mexico.)

I was expecting the ponytail part to leave the UK sooner than it did, but that happened on the 27th. I am hoping Carlos will have it by the end of this week, but either way he'll let me know when it arrives. He said he's eager to start painting it and complete the first figure. (That will be mine! Can't wait. )

Just thought I'd keep you posted but I don't want to disappoint you by posting these less exciting updates, so I'll let you know when it's in Carlos' hands.

As it gets closer I think the people waiting on the edge of their seats will appreciate frequent updates, even if they're small.

Plus you can vent your own excitement. Being stoked on OLS stuff is what this forum is all about!

I'll be checking back for hourly updates.

Holy snap I've wanted this garage kit since I was a kid! I can't wait to see it when it's cast. I'm definitely going to try and stay updated on this. Thanks for your kindness on sending it out to Carlos. I actually never heard of him before this thread, but it seems he does some really good recasts. Actually waiting for him to get back from vacation so I can grab one of the unpainted Melfina kits. Literally just got into resin in the last month or so (finally had the extra money for an airbrush and compressor which I haven't gotten around to using yet.) ANYWAYS moral of the story is I'm extremely excited, especially because I never thought I'd see one of these again. (Since I remember searching a few years back and finding no results.)
